End of season do and training update for October onwards

Hope you're all well and have had a great race season! It's nearly at an end now, with the end of September signifying the end of our race season, just a couple more weeks to go. I've heard great stories throughout the season, athletes like Craig and Mark, doing their first race at Salisbury triathlon, through to the likes of Tony Kesterton who after a long gap in racing, qualified to represent GB at Bejing! There has been some downs as well, with the tragic loss of Lewis Andrews, a young, talented triathlete who had also qualified for Beijing.

To celebrate the end of our season for 2011 we're having a night out on the 15th October, starting the New Inn in Salisbury at 7pm, moving on to Prezzo's for 8:15pm. I hope you can make it, our last outing out was really good fun, everybody enjoyed themselves. Let us know if you can make it, we'd love to see you there. :)

In October we will enter the last phase of our training for this year, the OFF season! This is the time when we can relax, remind ourselves that there is a life outside of triathlon (lol) and let our hair down! The track session will stop, the group run on Thursday will become a social jog, and the group rides on Saturday will become one, a group social ride at a nice, gentle pace. the swims on Sunday will be games orientated, fun being the main priority of the day!

In November we will start to get back to training, with emphasis on technique. This is the time for us to start getting breaking down our running, cycling and swimming techniques. We'll announce the details in the near future.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know. I'd welcome your input.

See you soon,

Leo
